Lighting and Sound Effects at the Wyoming State Museum

The Exhibits crew at the Wyoming State Museum built the dioramas and displays, while Farhorizon Exhibits created the immersive lighting and sound system.

Colorful sun rises in the Eastern corner, then the room gradually fills with light for the daytime.  Lights start to fade out from the East, and a colorful sunset in the west makes the transition to night time.   Set for 10 minutes of daytime, 3 Minutes of nighttime – but easy to change the lengths.

During the day there is an ambient soundtrack of daytime wildlife, that switches over to a night time soundtrack at night.  A campfire and lantern also turn on at night to provide a little bit of lighting in the room.

12 push buttons trigger specific animal sound effects from speakers located near their locations around the room.
